Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Promotes cost effective EDI opportunities and leads the company in effective procedures utilizing EDI technology.
Coordinates and maintains the EDI system, ensuring all system changes are processed according to specifications.

Tracks and resolves EDI production system problems,

Perform testing and parallel processing of EDI related documents such as invoicing and purchase orders.
Monitors systems and ensures all system changes are implemented.
Develops and maintains EDI maps using current EDI software.
Maintains all documentation related to EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processing, maps and vendor exception processing.
Make recommendations for improvements based on existing operating procedures and understanding of stockholder and vendor interfaces.
Maintains records of vendor activities and volume of invoices processed via EDI.
Acts as a contact person for staff on issues related to EDI processing.
Performs testing and parallel processing of EDI related applications such as invoicing and purchase orders.
Participates in the evaluation and implementation of software to meet EDI requirements.
Works in conjunction with the Technology Coordinator on invoice scanning and other related OCR initiatives.
Maintains current knowledge of industry trends.
Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.


High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
1-3 years of related office experience is required.

Experience with daily operation of EDI software systems, monitoring transmission reports, interfacing with trading partners.

Strong knowledge of EDIX12 standards.
Basic knowledge of invoicing and accounting procedures.
Basic understanding of EDI documents and how they are used in the industry.
Excellent customer service focus and skill set.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
Considerable knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite products and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
