Onsite EDI Developer

Our client, a leader in the Transportation industry, is seeking an EDI Developer with IBM Sterling B2B and mapping experience for an onsite position based in Southeast Alabama. Reporting to the EDI Manager, the EDI Developer will work as part of the EDI team in the design and development of EDI applications, interfaces, and maps.

This is an onsite position based out of the Client's Southeast Alabama location.

Responsibilities:

• Completing new EDI setup requests and ensuring execution meets committed timeframes.
• Establishing file transfer protocols according to trading partner or 3rd party requirements.
• Working with trading partners and/or 3rd parties to establish EDI requirements.
• Performing comprehensive testing of EDI transactions with trading partners or 3rd parties.
• Developing back-end modifications as needed to support the processing of EDI transactions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving EDI processing issues.
• Providing day-to-day support for all EDI transaction issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years EDI experience with knowledge of EDI transactions specific to the transportation industry such as 204, 214, 210, 990, 997, 215, 211
• 3+ years in establishing EDI file transfer protocols such as FTP and AS2
• Demonstrated proficiency in IBM Sterling B2B and mapping of EDI data.
• Experience working within an IBM iSeries operational environment.
• Able to work successfully in both a team and individual environment.
• Working knowledge of languages such as COBOL and/or RPG Free a strong plus
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server a plus
• Transportation knowledge a plus but not required.
