Overview:
The IT Operations PMO is seeking a highly qualified Snr. IT Project Manager to manage the implementation of the PowerClerk Customer Self-serve Portal and Workflow System for New Hampshire.

This project that will require very strong Project Management knowledge and skills, as well extensive experience managing system replacements.

Project Specific Role:
The purpose of this project is to purchase and deploy PowerClerk in NH. PowerClerk is a DER Customer Self-serve Portal and Workflow System that will provide an interactive, two-way communication platform for customers and developers that are proposing to connect DERs onto the electric distribution system, providing them with a better experience through the process. Behind the scenes, this system will also help solve a critical problem the Company faces in the near future regarding DER planning and tracking.

PowerClerk will enable the ability to manage these DER resources from development, engineering, construction, and operation, while building a repository of historic and future DERs that come online, making it critical to the goal of integrating DER into a modern electrical distribution system. The DER Customer Portal and Management System is vital to allowing Eversource the capability to replace unsustainable tracking systems and processes and provide the Company the ability to report on and manage DER data for integration with numerous downstream systems (e.g., Synergi, DMS, CED) to help reach that goal of integrating DERs to the Modern Grid.

This project will bring consistency to process and data collection, allow full utilization of staff across 3 states, provide a superior customer experience, and enable NH to meet the regulatory timelines for application processing and any future data requests concerning current (Online) and/or future (In-queue) DG projects. The transfer of existing and future DER data into a common, 3 state platform will also allow effective use of this data by other end-use systems, i.e., CED, GIS, DMS, Synergi, Hosting Capacity Maps, etc. Model builds for many of these systems require constant data pulling. The current process for exporting NH DER data is an intensive manual process and introduces risks to model build processes that are required to be updated regularly. Implementation of an automated process is essential to update other source systems in a timely manner. The current process is not sustainable, and requires business to coordinate between multiple groups to accomplish the smallest of updates, while the new process would have regularly scheduled, maintenance free updating in sync with the model build schedules of Synergi, DMS, and any other downstream systems.

PowerClerk would also be extremely valuable in the realm of data cleansing. An integration with dashboards can be used to ensure data quality, giving the business more visibility and confidence in the data being sent to other end-use systems.

This new process will allow for automated reporting, as well as integrations of technical and customer data from Geographic Information System (GIS), Customer Central (C2), and the Maximo Work Order systems required for users to complete the technical review process, which currently involve manually intervention, and risk for human error, can be made available in an automated format.

Implementation of the PowerClerk solution will also replace a process currently performed manually (using a Microsoft Access Database, coupled with Excel spreadsheets ), harmonizing management, communication and engineering reviews required to support interconnection processes in NH. This will allow us to accurately report on solar interconnections in a timely fashion.

In addition, the existing NH DER tracking database (Microsoft Access) is a user-created, non-supported Microsoft Access product. This portal project would assist in the retirement of this database and bring the Company much closer to being able to realize it's goals of integrating all DER systems into the Modern Electrical System.

Furthermore, the deployment of PowerClerk in NH would enable the expansion of the Advanced Forecasting and Modelling Capabilities currently being developed in MA as part of the advanced forecasting project. PowerClerk represents a fundamental cornerstone for all solutions currently deployed (SolarFleetview, WattPlan Grid, and LoadSeer). This would require the same data to be available in PowerClerk NH as in MA. In addition, it would bring the opportunity to improve the data being recorded both in quality and the available data fields based on experiences from the Advanced Forecasting Project. Having PowerClerk (to comparable specs as in MA) would enable a standardized forecasting and modelling concept to be deployed across all three states.

General:
Under the direction of the Eversource IT Portfolio Manager, the IT Project Managers are responsible for the oversight and overall success of Information Technology and related Business projects. IT Project Managers manage the budgetary, scheduling and delivery of assigned initiatives. Including but not limited to:
Working with the Eversource Resource Managers to identifying the appropriate resources, assemble the project team by brokering internal and external resources, and assign the responsibilities to fulfill the project requirements.
Using the Eversource Methodology, developing plans to navigate the project from request through systems analysis, requirements, technical design, construction, procurement, testing, turnover to production and client migration.
Using Eversource standard deliverables and templates, plan, prepare and issue project schedules and budgets to assure controlled completion of each project step and have strong financial acumen.
Using Eversource standard deliverables and templates, develop and report project status and analyze progress relative to project milestones and
maintain budget forecasts to assure that schedule compliance, earned value and desired results are achieved.
Utilize project management methodologies and practices such as task and quality management, project estimation, Client and budget planning

The successful candidate will:
Be fully knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of the project management Body of Knowledge. Have demonstrated experience successfully managing projects and be able to cite practical examples of this including example deliverables. Experience with the Microsoft Project is required.
Must be a high energy, detail-oriented individual who will demonstrate high caliber communication, leadership and people skills; strong organizational skills; and the ability to successfully initiate, track, report and close projects.
Demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate and coordinate activities with diverse groups, including stakeholders, sponsors, team leads, other project managers, and technical staff; a strong process orientation including producing high quality documentation artifacts; and a sound working understanding of IT concepts and the IT design & delivery life cycle.
Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization from administrative and technical staff to executive Steering Committees, and the ability to plan and execute Organizational Change Management to ensure that the technical solution delivered is fully accepted, used and provides solid business value.
