Description: 
Client is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their team in Chestertown, MD! This position has ownership and accountability to provide architectural design and to day-to-day operational services and to build and install infrastructure, which encompasses hardware, software, servers, and virtual machines using a VMware environment. They control access to networks and manage storage and security settings. Responsible for leading design engineering and implementing all highly technical strategic projects and operational activities related to supporting the enterprise infrastructure. The scope of the role includes NetApp equipment, Citrix, Veeam backup/restores, Snapshots, network performance and Cloud backup disaster recovery/data retention. Requires an excellent understanding of security technologies and strategies; implements compliance and regulation requirements and protects the integrity of entire infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• System Administrator Management
• Physical Environment to include all Data Centers, IDF's, UPS environments
• VMWare Engineering or Architectural experience/knowledge in Datacenter Design of VMWare, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi,
• Site Recovery Manager
• NetApp hardware and storage
• Knowledge in Network Switch configuration (Client)
• Implement Disaster Recovery or Disaster Avoidance best practices
• Strong knowledge in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Client, GPO's, SSL Certificates, Power Shell Scripting
• Required to work both independently and collaboratively to address incidents, problems, provide access management,
• and contribute to infrastructure enhancement projects.
• Support Google Office, GSuite and other Google Cloud service offerings
• Basic administration of UNIX machines
• Support of the Citrix Environment
• Provide Tier3 escalation support
• Document SOP's, Policies, Network Diagrams, Configurations
• Disaster Recovery Management
• Cloud Storage Data Retention policy (GCP and WASABI)
• Enterprise Backup and Restore tools (Veeam)
• Google cloud hybrid NetApp environment
• Maintains the integrity of inventory for all IT related equipment, software, and hardware
• Ensures ownership is assigned to all assets including location, department as well as other attributes
• Ensure proper lifecycle of all infrastructure IT assets from procurement to disposition
• Management of multi-site networking and routing to include VLAN's, redundant carriers and VPN's
• Cyber Security Management
• Security monitoring and experience in patch management of Server and infrastructure equipment
• Management of Firewalls and site-to-site VPN connections
• Understanding of NIST, CSF and CMMC frameworks and the appropriate CIS controls.
• Knowledge of security best practices in a virtualized environment to include server hardening
• Oversite of general networking cyber controls to include Cloud, LAN and Wireless infrastructure
• Design and perform server and security audits and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors or better in Computer Science preferred
Experience
3-5 years: Storage experience required
7-10 years: VMware experience required
