The Marketing Data Analyst will work closely with both business and technical teams to proactively identify gaps in our knowledge base. The candidate will be charged with providing analytics reporting and data-driven strategic insights, trends, and perspective. You will work closely with a cross functional team through all development stages, from identifying opportunities, to analyzing the impact of efforts, and discovering areas for improvement.
Transform raw data into actionable and meaningful analyses using a variety of tools including Access and Excel in order to educate Marketing teams on past performance and provide future direction.. Work with a cross-functional team to implement, validate, and improve external tracking within analytics platforms: clarifying analytic requirements, developing analysis plans, and building out reporting. Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support. Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed.
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing any and all of the following databases and reporting processes as required (VBA Coding and MS Access required):Merchandise database.
New Item database.
SDM database and reporting.
Vendor Rewards database and reporting.
Deals and Chargeback databases and reporting.
Competitive Pricing database.
Alternate Product database.
Managing and monitoring all overnight processes.
Customer Level Tracking databases and the annual update to Zip Sales Reporting vendors Provides adhoc reporting as necessary.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
Advanced intermediate level professional; knowledge within own discipline and developing basic knowledge of organization, processes and customers. Good judgment, sound analytical ability, evaluation, originality and ingenuity required to perform tasks. Frequently apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of routine and non-routine issues.

Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Two years combined experience in analytical reporting and database creation environment. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines. Experience in merchandising, marketing, and/or inventory management is a plus.
Knowledge of VBA, SQL/T-SQL and advanced MS Access and Excel required.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Good communication skills required.
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
