Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the management, documentation, project management and maintenance of the company's business applications. Mission critical applications supported include Microsoft D365, FlintFox, John Galt and others. This position works closely with business leaders, Developers and system users in identifying, evaluating and changing existing applications as well as implementing new applications. This position is also responsibility for defining and maintaining project standards which includes resource allocation, all phases of a development life cycle, i.e., gap analysis, feasibility study, requirements, analysis, design, testing, and implementation planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the key liaison across all functional areas and provide recommendations for improved system processes, including business units, information technology and outside vendors.
  • Develop information systems strategies with business users, define business objectives, and identify cost/benefit impact to the company of proposed projects.
  • Responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, proposing and delivering solutions that are appropriate with best practices and align with business requirements.
  • Review and make recommendations on existing platforms for continuous improvement, enhance and resolve performance issues associated with software and system architecture.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for issues that disrupt critical business process and provides analysis on required remediation that addresses root cause.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of system documentation, system standards, policies and SOPs for existing and new systems.
  • Analyzes user project proposals, identifies omissions and errors in requirements, and conducts feasibility studies; recommends optimum approach and develops systems and/or applications design for approved projects.
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a structured process for the design, development, testing, and deployment of all corporate systems.
  • Support project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and getting business user sign-off.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a computer, software, information systems or business administration or equivalent experience.
Implementation experience with ERP products (i.e. Dynamics AX, D365).
Prior experience eliciting and interpreting business and user requirements and providing IT solutions in a Business Analyst role. Experience conducting business requirement gathering sessions.
Demonstrated work experience in a Business Analyst role assisting with the implementation of technology solutions.
Team player with skills for partnering with both technical and non-technical users.
Excellent technical writing skills including drawing process diagrams.
Excellent systems analysis, organizational, problem solving, troubleshooting, time management, oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of industry best practices and current trends.
