Looking for an EDI Analyst to join an established team in the Frederick Maryland area.

This EDI Analyst will provide business and technical consulting and implementation services to clients related to assessment, and implementation of the EDI Gateway application TransSend.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the EDI Analyst:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) working within the product development team and with clients Identify impacts, analyze issues and implement product solutions based on customers' business needs.
  • Perform client assessments, write detail reports and specifications and support activities such as testing and system integration.
  • Meet with client's on a daily and weekly basis as required by project.
  • Act as a project manager for new client requests to implement new business Understand the TransSend application and capabilities Problem solve and solution with client Document Clients specific requirements.
  • Strong configuration understanding of enrollment and claims operations.
  • Claims, enrollment and pricing configuration is helpful. Strong business analyst with Payer or Provider experience.
  • Use of HIPAA X12 transaction sets experience, translate technical requirements into business needs, and document technical and business specifications. 837, 835, 834, 820, 270, 271, 276, 277, 278, 997

QUALIFICATIONS of the EDI Analyst:
  • Must have strong EDI experience.
  • Strong understanding of business rules.
  • Claims, enrollment and pricing configuration is a plus.
  • Automation testing experience.
  • Must have strong previous experience in the HIPAA transaction set.
  • At least five years experience working in a payer or provider environment.
  • Healthcare operational experience is a must.
  • Five plus years of IT Business Analysis experience gathering/documenting business requirements and translating into technical specifications.
  • General knowledge of healthcare operations, payer business processes and/or provider and EDI infrastructures.
  • Excellent organizational, and communication skills (verbal and writing).
  • Self-starter, problem solver and willing to travel to client sites when needed.
  • Previous leadership assignments and project management experience a plus.
  • Experience in HIPAA logical mapping and system implementation is preferred.
  • Experience in implementation of payer or provider applications.
