PRIMARY DUTY
Under the general supervision of the VP of IT, the EDI Manager is responsible for management
and direction of EDI activities for all locations, while also directing the day-today activities of the EDI Team to ensure timely and accurate document processing. This
individual is also responsible for project management for all new EDI projects, onboarding new
and maintaining existing EDI customer relationships, teaching EDI best practices and new
methods to junior staff, and constant retooling of internal processes to meet the changing needs
of customers and to leverage new technologies. It is anticipated that, in performing the assigned
duties, the EDI Manager will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with
respect to matters of significance to the management or general business operations of the
Company.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others may be assigned. Nothing

Develops and implements EDI best practices
Looks for opportunities to expand the usage of EDI throughout the enterprise
Utilizes EDI software to set up and maintain document translation maps.
Maintains relationships with customer EDI department and works directly with them to
resolve issues
Develops and implements automated archival and purging strategies for EDI data
Oversees EDI document testing with third party vendors contracted by our customers
Evaluates existing EDI programming for improvement and efficiency gains
Works to automate the error checking performed by EDI team
Works with IT Operations to coordinate maintenance windows that don't conflict with
EDI schedules and customer EDI requirements
Works with Applications team to bring in newly offered data from customers and
populate ERP tables for reporting purposes.
Works with IT Operations to upgrade EDI software on a regular basis
Works with Sales and Credit teams to develop EDI solutions to eliminate chargebacks
Participates in the development and implementation of department programs, systems,
procedures and methods of operations.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Mapping experience with multiple EDI software packages.
Comprehensive knowledge of standard Order to Cash processing and EDI documents
involved throughout
ERP Experience
Ability to breakdown and communicate complex EDI issues for junior EDI and non EDI
staff
Requires effective oral/presentation and written communication skills including the
ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
Interpersonal skills with ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel
required.
Exceptional critical thinking skills
Well-developed organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and
easily adapt to changing situations.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or its equivalent required. An Associate's degree in IT, Accounting,
Finance or related field preferred.
Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in EDI area
Must have minimum of 3-5 years of management experience leading EDI or related IT
staff
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
