SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Plan and supervise Information Technology processes and projects related to systems and software, instructing support to areas regarding new project development and implementation, and help desk requests, promoting result assessment, as well as identifying new demands and providing solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Planning and following up Information Technology processes and projects to systems and software, instructing support to areas regarding new project development and implementation to meet internal demands
  • Instructing the activities of the SAP systems and support staff, like, portals/intranets, payroll, CRM, etc., analyzing, following up and answering user requests, to meet deadlines, quality and performance
  • Supporting the company's database, performing backup, restore and user release routines, so data can only be accessed by authorized people, ensuring information security
  • Answering for the relationship between users and consultants or other companies that have systems deployed in the company, supervising call development and supporting the areas' needs, to ensure compliance of customizations implemented by outsourced companies upon request
  • Providing support to SAP users, identifying their needs, solving doubts and communicating demands to the team, as well as intermediating actions between areas involved in or affected by the projects, aiming at automation of the company processes
  • Defining methods and resources necessary to the implementation of systems and/or alteration of existing systems, such as routines, programs, database, environment, platform, languages, tools, among others, estimating the time required for the execution of the process, as well as elaborating the project for user presentation and approval
  • Defining testing procedures of the implemented systems or of those that will undergo maintenance before the replacement of the effective systems, aiming at maintaining control of the impact on the existing routines
  • Following up and assessing system validation tests to be released to the users, aiming at proposing improvements and more productivity according to the demand
  • Analyzing processes inherent to their sector, suggesting improvements for results maximization
  • Keeping updated on technological advances in the industry for professional development, knowledge transmission, suggestion of improvements in equipment and processes, contributing to continuous enhancement
  • Responding for quality, reliability and performance of resources, services and information generated by the activities under their responsibility, keeping confidentiality around matters related to activities
  • Maintains all servers, computer and technical equipment, and software/programs to ensure that the organization functions properly and runs smoothly
  • Develops and maintains the IT budget for the North Americas cluster
  • Ensures continual reliability of the network environment
  • Writes and periodically updates the Disaster Recovery Plan and verifies backups daily
  • Aligns IT strategies and services to the business and group IT roadmap, and acts as a change agent for the cluster
  • Appreciates the needs of the business in the cluster and introduces appropriate IT solutions in accordance with the supply and demand
  • Achieves a good appreciation of business operation models and processes, makes appropriate recommendations for IT changes, and may implement agreed enhancements
  • Drives and carries out IT change management activities associated with global/regional IT initiatives

Skills:
  • 5+ years of IT experience working in many areas of infrastructure including network, database, desktop, etc.
  • Experience with hardware and software applications
  • Experience with ERP applications (SAP preferred)
  • Experience working with EDI preferred
  • Knowledge of systems analysis, troubleshooting and support
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with management and the ability to work on multiple projects
