Job description
Summary
  • Designs and Delivers system solutions to support both new initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within EDI and Order Management across the Global Organization whilst ensuring that they support the overall company goals and IT strategies.
  • Ensures that the business teams responsible for managing the Customer Experience, Sales Ops and Vendor Compliance functions get the solution and support they need to perform their jobs efficiently.
  • Actively participates in projects, workshops and working parties, or carries out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit, that will benefit the individual, the Division or the Company as a whole.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the global Vendor Compliance, Sales Ops and Customer Experience teams in ensuring that the operations of the organisation are captured, processed and reported appropriately.
  • Drives the Delivery of projects, enhancements and new systems by working with the Solution Design team, other IT Teams and the user community & Global IT teams to define requirements, develop technical solutions, build test scripts/scenarios, training and develop any necessary technical supporting documentation.
  • Acts as the EDI and Order Management expert in partnership with other IT teams and internal departments to deliver technology solutions that meet the system and process needs of the region and Global organisation.
  • Support the day to day work of the Customer Experience, Vendor Compliance and Sales Operations and other services by offering help, advice and troubleshooting on the systems that have been implemented.
Business Analysis & Solution Definition
  • Works with the Solution Design team to research and propose solutions to meet the documented requirements, agreeing the most appropriate solution with the local/global users and global IT team.
  • Uses analysis techniques to analyze and translate business requirements into technical requirements for both enhancements and projects.
  • Once requirements are captured, design, develop and test the solution that meets the Business needs.
  • Work with the user community to perform an analysis of issues and managing the resolution process. 
Implementation Management
  • Works with the various PMO's to deliver project plans to the agreed timetables and guide appropriate resources.
  • Work with Local & Global IT resources to ensure that projects stay on track
  • Communicate technical project progress to the project managers.
  • Drive project and ensuring successful implementation 
Testing And Quality Assurance/ Quality Control
  • Perform unit testing of code, integrations &overall system and develops any necessary technical documentation.
  • Assist QA in developing any necessary QA testing documentation.
Contribute to global QA process improvements 

Develop a strong understanding of internal systems and interdepartmental relationships, ensures that all systems implementations/changes take into account any operational impact and work with the teams concerned to appropriately integrate with the company's systems.
  • Assist the Solution Design team with process documentation and develop a strong understanding of business processes
  • Responsible for ensuring those solutions meet requirement specifications, adhere to best practices and are reliable.
  • Compilation of reports and documents as directed.
  • Ensure programming and change control policies are adhered. 
Measures
  • The solutions implemented add value to the organization by increasing sales, reducing costs or removing errors.
  • Ensure that there is a constant improvement in efficiency within the functional area responsible for across the global organization.
  • Solutions as defined delivered to agreed timescales and within budgets 
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an EDI and Order Management function.
  • Familiarity with ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT standards, including Order and Financial series documents such as 850, 855, 860, 856, 810, 832, 846, etc is an advantage.
  • 2+ years of experience with EDI mapping to XML. EDI Mapping using Oracle SOA is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EBS is desirable.
  • Knowledge of working with SAAS based B2B Order Management systems is a plus.
  • Experience working in Retail Industry would be an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years of SQL experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, SQL, Stored Procedures
  • Excellent communication and Customer Facing skills.
